The Beatnik is a small, unpretentious hotel nestled in the hills of the Eastern Townships in a converted sheepfold. A bold renovation has resulted in a place that charms with its nonconformist, bohemian atmosphere. Set amidst nature, the hotel nonetheless possesses a trendy, urban, and irreverent edge!

A striking feature of the property is revealed from afar: beautiful, large barn doors, open to the elements, inviting you to approach and explore. At the entrance, the extended roofline creates a modernist line reminiscent of a 1950s motel. Black and white play off each other in a striking contrast, like summer playing with winter. The covered terrace, overlooking the hills, is visible, and you're tempted to settle down there, sheltered from the wind.

The various buildings of the hotel form a protected inner courtyard, guarded by the immense barn doors: one settles in to enjoy the swimming pool, the hammocks suspended from the fruit trees, to listen to the birds sing and to offer oneself a complete relaxation experience.


Upon entering, the reception area surprises with a large rustic mural with urban accents, creating a relaxed atmosphere. A fireplace is installed in the center of the room, inviting guests to enjoy après-ski drinks. Several materials are original or reclaimed, such as the stable door that separates the reception from the bistro, and the wall of antique mirrors with a distressed finish. To the east, in a wall of the bistro, a large window has been installed to offer a view of the sunrise.

At Beatnik, the decor is anything but ordinary: record players with 33 rpm records, vintage books, hanging chairs, artwork, and more. Depending on the time of day, the atmosphere shifts between tranquility and vibrancy, thanks in particular to the bistro serving light meals, local beers, and organic wines. Guests of the studios and the apartment have access to the lounge where they can relax, borrow a guitar, and admire the view.
