The Beatnik is a small, unpretentious hotel nestled in the hills of the Eastern Townships in a former sheep barn. Boldly renovated, it is a place that charms with its nonconformity and bohemian atmosphere. Surrounded by nature, the place nevertheless has a slightly trendy, urban, and irreverent feel!

A striking feature of the complex can be seen from afar: beautiful, large barn doors, open to the wind, inviting you to come closer and discover the place. At the entrance, the extension of the roof creates a modernist line reminiscent of a 1950s motel. Black and white contrast with each other, like summer playing with winter. We see the covered terrace overlooking the hills, and we are tempted to settle in, sheltered from the wind.

The hotel's various buildings form a protected inner courtyard, guarded by huge barn doors. Here, you can relax by the pool, lie in hammocks suspended from fruit trees, listen to the birds singing, and enjoy a completely relaxing experience.

Upon entering, the reception area surprises with a large rustic mural with urban accents that creates a relaxed atmosphere. A fireplace is installed in the centre of the room, inviting guests to enjoy an après-ski aperitif. Several materials are original or recycled, such as the stable door that separates the reception area from the bistro and the wall of antique mirrors with a distressed finish. To the east, in one wall of the bistro, a large window has been installed to offer a view of the sunrise.

At the Beatnik, the decor is anything but ordinary: record players with 33 rpm records, vintage books, hanging chairs, artists' paintings, etc. Depending on the time of day, the atmosphere varies between tranquility and excitement, thanks in particular to the bistro, which serves light meals, local beers, and organic wines. Guests staying in the studios and apartment have access to the lounge, where they can relax, borrow a guitar, and contemplate the landscape outside. We love the conviviality of these spaces, designed to escape the passage of time…
