It is the rustic aesthetic and the warmth of aged wood that give the Nordet project its strength. Nestled in the heart of a wooded lot in the Eastern Townships, on the shores of a tranquil lake, the house is a true haven of peace.

The wood displays variations in color and texture that give the entire structure a unique character. The vertically laid planks blend perfectly with the abundant tree trunks surrounding the house, here stripped bare by winter.

Walls are replaced with large windows and glass doors to create plays of transparency throughout the house and allow for an abundance of light.

As night falls, minimalist, discreet, and well-positioned exterior lighting complements the house's structure and highlights its unique materials. The metal roof, the cladding on some walls, and the pewter-colored windows add a contemporary touch to the overall design.

No matter the time of day or season, Nordet offers a peaceful and enchanting setting, where the architecture blends harmoniously with the surrounding nature. It's an ideal place to recharge and fully enjoy a tranquil lifestyle.
